In the second quarter of 2022, the top sandbox games on iOS in the United Arab Emirates showed varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the trends for the leading apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Roblox experienced fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $168.6K in late March and ending the quarter at around $101.8K. Downloads saw an initial dip, dropping to 4.3K in late May, but rebounded to 8.6K by the end of June. Active users steadily increased from 105.6K to 115.5K over the quarter.

Minecraft maintained relatively stable weekly revenue, starting the quarter at $4.9K and reaching a peak of $5.5K in the last week of June. Download numbers remained consistent, fluctuating between 356 and 467 downloads per week. Active users showed a slight upward trend, closing the quarter at around 39K.

Growtopia had a notable peak in weekly revenue of $8.1K in early May, though it declined to $3.8K by the end of June. Downloads were lower, starting at 905 in late March and dipping to a low of 68 in early June, before slightly recovering to 182 by the end of the quarter. Active users decreased from 1.1K to 391 over the same period.
